Hi there! My name is Serenity Ward and I am currently in the Nursing Program at Mott Community College. I chose nursing as growing up my grandmother had type 1 diabetes, neuropathy, and early parkinson's and passed at 45. My great aunt, her sister, had brain cancer and passed as well. My grandpa was diagnosed with stage 4 melanoma at age 61 after retiring from GM putting in 47 years! All my life I have been surrounded by loss, but also had the blessing of taking care of the people I love most. It was bittersweet, but of course it never gets any easier. I have experience working in home health settings, AFC group homes, and Assisted Living/Memory care/Hospice. I look forward to working with you! :)
